How's it going? What's Jesus doing in your life?
Personally, He has been doing some pretty incredible stuff. He's confirmed His calling on my life, on our family and has provided some very specific and (what I'd consider) very BIG financial needs for my family just recently. I am amazed, but not suprised. After all, that's the kind of God we serve - the God who loves to serve and suprise us, the God to whom everything under the heavens and the earth belongs. He is almighty, He is holy. He is my Savior, my Lord, and my Friend!
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21 |

Reply with quote | #2 | You sound like you're bubbling over!!! We're thrilled for you and look forward to hearing what God does with you and your family!
I was driving yesterday and thought how sometimes God helps us through struggles, and sometimes He makes life just so much fun, so full of wonder and excitement.
We're planning a trip in the summer, and we had saved a little toward airfare, but saw on the news gas is going to keep going up. We figured that meant plane tickets were going to cost more as well, and we knew we needed to get them soon.
I'm the one who worries about money, so I started brooding about it yesterday morning. I kept reminding myself to quit worrying and trust the Lord, since He has always, always provided for us in the past. In Psalm 62 the writer repeatedly reminds his soul to, "find rest in God alone," and that "my expectation is from Him." I try to repeatedly remind myself of the same thing when I feel myself start to worry.
Well, my grandmother called in the afternoon and told me she'd been watching the news and thinking about our trip, and that she was sending us a check for half the airfare, so go ahead and buy our tickets.
Over and over God supplies my every need. Over and over He shows me the things that cause me serious anxiety are nothing to Him. I don't have to walk around with all that weight on my shoulders.
Anyway, that's what's up here. Anyone else? |

Reply with quote | #3 | Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
I was in a time of despair when I read this verse in a book I was reading. I don't remember which book I wish I could for I would like to finish the book. I read like 5 or 6 books at once and some I finish and some I don't. As I read the verse I realized even though my husband and I have questioned whether or not we have made all the right decisions on our lives including moving here to NC that God is always looking out for us and will bless us as we continue to serve and obey him. We have seen God's work at hand over and over again since living here in NC. He has provided for us financially and spiritually. God has sent many our way to give us the things we needed to provide for our family and a wonderful job for my husband, who also is paying for his schooling. How many jobs do that? In the next few years he will be a licensed optician. I pray that God will continue to guide us through our lives that we will serve according to his purpose. We have both started teaching 3rd grade S.S. Wow I never imagined how much I would enjoy it. God is wonderful. Jo __________________ Jo P |
